Clinical Development Manager - Manitoba and Saskatchewan

This is a remote position opportunity that will be based out of you home office in Manitoba. You will be responsible for travelling approximately 4 days a week within the Manitoba and Saskatchewan region with periodic visits to our Support Centre in Toronto. Reporting to the Director, Dental Hygiene, the Clinical Development Manager will be responsible supporting optimal patient care and the growth ambitions of our valued Partners through the integration of best practices and Clinical Development programs across a portfolio of practices. You excel at building strong relationships and influencing by building trust and credibility.  You are a leader who is confident in driving long term and sustainable change across a portfolio of dental practices by supporting and facilitating the implementation of new processes and procedures.

Role Overview:

Practice Service Orientation

  • Actively promotes and lives Dentalcorp values every day.
  • Establishes and maintains excellent relationships with clinicians and team members.
  • Partners and collaborates across functional groups as One team, working toward common goals and objectives in driving strategic outcomes.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of the Practice Development team’s strategies and initiatives through ongoing collaboration and sharing of practice feedback.
  • Monitors feedback and concerns, actively seeking input to refine strategies and ensure successful implementation.

Patient Care and Experience Standards

  • Ensures that any effort made by or contributed to by the Clinical Development team is performed at the highest ethical standard with priority given to the well-being of our patients.
  • Partners with regional teams (Directors of Operations, Human Resource Business Partners, Compliance and Practice Marketing) to achieve outstanding patient care and practice level outcomes.
  • Supports where there are opportunities to improve on patient care standards for practices in our network and in your region respectively.
  • Understands and applies the ADPIE model of healthcare for dental hygienists, in partnership with the dental development program design and frameworks co-developed in partnership with DC Institute.
  •  Engages and supports in the delivery of Continuing Education efforts to benefit ongoing learning, clinical development, and growth for Hygiene as a core service line in our clinics.

Clinical Development – Customized Practice Team Support

  • Ability to gain a deep understanding of the practices in your portfolio through metrics and relationships to ensure that you are working closely with the practices that would benefit strongly from Clinical Development support in the following areas:
    • Integration of comprehensive dental hygiene patient care through adoption of best-in-class patient care standards and practice protocols, including assessing, diagnosing, and treatment planning using the American Academy of Periodontology’s 2018 Classification of Periodontal and Peri-Implant Disease and Conditions and other best practices
    • Strong practice protocols and clinician competency in the areas of identifying and educating, and treating malocclusion, through educational digital scanning as well as other best practices.
  • Identifies the specific needs of each practice through clinical program assessments and supports clinicians and team members on the value of skill development where there is opportunity to improve within and across practices in your region.
  • Uses a customized clinical program assessment to build a comprehensive support and integration plan that is aligned with the practice’s annual growth plans.
  • Executes the customized support and integration plan to drive long-term and sustainable growth of key services within the dental practices.
  • Ensures that support and integration efforts are contributing to the annual growth plans of each practice by determining and measuring key success metrics related to the implementation initiatives performed.
  • Monitors the on-going effectiveness of Clinical Development programs and evolves as required.

Clinical Transformation & Workflow Optimization

  • Fosters a culture of openness and transparency to encourage acceptance and participation in new initiatives.
  • Gains buy-in from practice leaders and ensures alignment across regional teams through all steps of the planning and execution process.
  • Engages practice leaders and Field Operations stakeholders and provides support and resources to help clinicians and team members navigate transitions and overcome challenges associated with change.
  • Defines and measures success metrics and monitors change progress to ensure practices reach their identified growth potential.
  • Implements effective change management strategies to facilitate smooth adoption of Clinical Development programs.
  • Elevates patient experience with industry-leading best practices.
  • Increases acceptance of comprehensive treatment through enhanced patient education and value-building language.
  • Drives engagement and a solution-oriented approach to hygiene growth and effectiveness opportunities, with practice team members and field team colleagues.
  • Identifies potential sources of resistance to change and proactively address them through communication, education, and engagement with key stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a Registered Dental Hygienist
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a dental office as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Minimum 5-7 years in either a Regional Management, Oral Health Educator, or Consultant position working with a wide range of dental practices.
  • Proven ability to deliver sustainable results across a large portfolio of dental practices.
  • Experience Integrating standards and protocols that support optimal patient care across a portfolio of practices.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding and application of change management principles
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills; proven ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships across diverse groups and levels.
  • Strong background in coaching and integrating clinical best practice for patient care.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
