Associate Dentist – South 40 Dental (Grande Prairie, AB)

About the Opportunity

South 40 Dental is seeking an experienced Associate Dentist to join a high‑volume, well‑established practice in Grande Prairie. The clinic is known for its long‑term team, excellent culture, strong patient loyalty, and demand that consistently fills schedules weeks in advance.

This is a replacement role for a departing associate, offering an already‑established patient base and full clinical schedule. The practice features strong technological investment, a large and efficient workspace, and a highly supportive team including experienced RDAs and senior dentists.

Schedule Needing Coverage

  • Monday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • Tuesday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Additional Details:

  • DDS chair booked 3–4 weeks out
  • 2 DDS chairs allocated to the associate
  • No independent work required — clinical support available
  • CDA support at all times

Clinic Overview & Team Structure

  • RDHs: 7
  • RDAs: 6.6 total (2 per dentist)
  • Total Chairs: 14
  • DDS Chairs: 2
  • Hygiene Chairs: 7
  • High patient demand with consistent scheduling
  • Three dentists onsite (including senior support from Dr. Chen, 20+ years experience)

Mentorship is available through:

  • Senior clinician Dr. Chen
  • Partner Dr. Bardia (available to mentor; shadowing at Access Dental possible)

Required Clinical Skills

  • Bread‑and‑butter dentistry
  • Basic endodontics
  • Basic oral surgery
  • Fixed prosthodontics (crown and bridge)

Additional Skills Not Required but Beneficial

  • Openness to advanced technologies
  • Comfort with new workflows and systems

Sedation Offered

The practice provides a full range of sedation options:

  • Nitrous sedation
  • Oral sedation
  • IV sedation

About You:

  • Graduate from an accredited DDS/DMD Program or successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) Equivalency Process

  • Registered and in good standing with provincial licensing requirements

  • Valid CPR certification
