Financial Analyst, Revenue and Bank Reconciliations

The Opportunity 

 

Join a rewarding opportunity to optimize revenue recognition and bank reconciliation by automating month-end close processes. You’ll manage a portfolio of dental practices, partner with Practice Managers to identify and track variances, and support close activities including posting revenue and collections, completing bank reconciliations, preparing journal entries, performing variance analysis, tracking in-transit items, and contributing to team projects.

The Impact You’ll Have 

 

You’ll help ensure timely, accurate practice-level revenue reporting and reconciliations, and provide insights on variances and in-transit items. 

 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll join a team of three Financial Analysts and collaborate across the business. You’ll own revenue and bank reconciliations for your portfolio, serve as the primary contact for practice-level inquiries, and work with Practice Managers and the Finance Business Partner team to resolve variances and support revenue and collections activities. 

 

In This Role, You Will 

  • Complete daily, monthly, and annual bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies between bank statements and the general ledger. 

  • Track and report outstanding reconciling items, including in-transit activity, until resolved. 

  • Execute the monthly revenue close for your assigned dental practices as part of the month-end close process. 

  • Post revenue transactions in NetSuite and review activity to ensure accuracy and completeness. 

  • Prepare revenue and variance analysis, and deliver timely reports for management and stakeholders. 

  • Support month-end/year-end close, audits, and documentation requests in line with internal policies and procedures. 

  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • College or Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 

  • 1 to 2 years experience in Finance, Accounting or related field 

  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably with a focus on revenue analysis and bank reconciliations. 

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, revenue recognition standards, and financial analysis. 

  • Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting techniques. 

  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. 

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is desirable.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 CAD to $75,000 CAD annually. Offers within this range are determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations. 

 

This role is 4 days on-site Monday to Thursday with Friday's work from home.  This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
