
Dr. Sam Malkinson
Dr. Malkinson graduated from McGill’s Faculty of Dentistry in 2007, completing advanced dental residencies at the University of Connecticut and the University of British Columbia. He specialized in Periodontics and earned a Master’s degree at Virginia Commonwealth University, focusing his thesis on aesthetic crown lengthening and social perceptions.
Since returning to Montreal in 2012, Dr. Malkinson has practiced full-time in periodontics and implantology. He has been a Faculty Lecturer at McGill University, teaching through Continuing Dental Education, and was recognized with multiple awards, including McGill Dentistry’s Clinical Demonstrator of the Year (2014), the W.W. Wood Award for Excellence in Dental Education (2015), and the AAP Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics Award (2015).
A Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Malkinson also serves as an Examiner Expert for the National Dental Examining Board of Canada and a manuscript reviewer for Acta Odontologica Scandinavica. He is an active member of multiple professional organizations.
